CRAWL SPACE
INDICATIONS YOU MAY NEED CRAWL SPACE AREA REPAIR:
  • Standing water in the crawl area
  • Damp or Dank odor in and from the crawl area
  • Stains or mold on the interior of the crawl area walls
  • Wood deterioration in the existing floor joist or sill boards
  • Areas of the main living area floor getting soft or rotting

SOLUTIONS
Install a new interior drain tile system (see waterproofing) to capture, control and discharge the seepage and in some cases fully encapsulate (vinyl liner over walls and floor) the crawl area to prevent mold from forming. Replace the damaged wood at the sill board level or to the existing floor joist.

INDICATIONS ADDITIONAL WORK MAY BE NEEDED
  • Crawl space wall and/or footings have cracked
  • Sill board wood, floor joist or sub floors above are deteriorating (rotting)
  • The presence of mold
